HerCar Review

How often are you searching for the volume control, negotiating peace in the back seat and trying to cross four lanes of traffic in peak hour? Is making it home sometimes a miracle?

If so Hyundai's Santa Fe is for you. Everything is at your fingertips. The instrumentation panel is clear and easy to read. The cruise control and stereo controls mounted on the steering wheel are easy to operate without taking your eyes off the road. Door and window locks are in the driver's door armrest and there are plenty of storage holders within arms reach to save you from searching through your bag at the traffic lights for change or your sunglasses. But best of all it gives you eyes in the back of your head with an internal rearview panoramic magic eye. The rear view magic eye enables you to see what's going on behind you without having to turn your head, helping you to keep the kids in line.

The Santa Fe also comes with all the safety features, SRS airbags, front, side and curtain airbags, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), height adjustable seat belts and 3 child seat anchorage points, to ensure your family is safe in case someone else takes their eyes off the road!

Hyundai's Santa Fe has lots of great features for the rest of the family. The kids will love the cup holders, reading lights and a power outlet for the laptop in the back seat. And everyone will love the cooler box in the centre console. The boot is quite large and has a great handle making it easy to open even if your hands are full. There is also an extra compartment under the floor, however it is quite difficult to open.

The Santa Fe is a great looking SUV with plenty of standard features. Both the 5 and 7 seater offer plenty of room to carry around your precious cargo-whether it's the family, pets or sporting equipment.

Test Drive Tip

The Sante Fe, like most SUVs, has a foot brake instead of a hand brake, which is easy to use once you know it is. It also means there is more room in the center console to store odds and ends. However, it can make you feel pretty silly if you forget to release it when you take it for a test drive.
