Do women prefer an Italian or German?

A recent study by British insurer Hiscox, proves that the engine noise of some cars do stimulate a sense of arousal. Participants - 20 men and 20 women - were exposed to a recording of various engines being revved. The automotive tonic in this study was a Ferrari, a Maserati, a Lamborghini and a Volkswagen. Reactions were measured via salivary testosterone and a psychological questionnaire.

Maserati won the sexy stakes, with 100% of female participants showing a significant increase in testosterone. On the flipside, 100% of female participants showed a decrease in testosterone when exposed to the sounds of the Volkswagen Polo.

You know what pissed me off most about this study - the public, male, response. A multitude of men claim that it's not the engine that turned women on, but the attraction of the money that sits behind such a purchase. Really, spare me the archaic rhetoric. Are we really that shallow? I must say that I would drool more over a slick Maserati than a pedestrian Polo even without knowing how much they cost. But who cares what I think, tell us what gets your motor running in the car world. Perhaps nothing does!
